Three Magnet Schools Receive Merit Award as a Magnet School of Distinction

Atlantic Technical High School, Lyons Creek Middle School and McFatter Technical High School have all been named Magnet Schools of Distinction by Magnet Schools of America. School representatives will be honored at the 28th Magnet Schools of America Conference hosted by the Hillsborough County Public Schools, May 2 – 5 at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina in Tampa. Principals Robert Crawford, Washington Collado and Mark Thomas will receive plaques during an awards ceremony for their selection as national Magnet School of Distinction winners. The award presentations are scheduled during the opening session of the national conference, which will be attended by more than 1,000 school administrators and teachers from magnet schools and districts across the nation.
